NUSA IS NOW Open

New academy opens its doors for 2009-10

The predecessor school, William Sharp, closed to pupils at the end of July 2009, and the Nottingham Univesity Samworth Academy opened in September 2009..

With a new building still being constructed, extensive work was undertaken to revamp the old William Sharp buildings ready for the grand opening of the new Academy.  These included interior and exterior decoration, carpetting, and new equipment.  In addition, a new reception area was created to welcome all into the buildings.  Pupils and staff from the predecessor school, and visitors alike all commented on how pleasant the 'new look' buildings were.

When the new building is complete and we move in, the old buildings will be demolished to make way for gardens, sports areas, and car parking for the Academy.
