New Building
Opening in September 2010
The Academy opened in September 2009 on the site of the refurbished William Sharp School, and will be moving into purpose-built accommodation in 2010.
The new building will provide a safe, welcoming and accessible learning environment for pupils of all ages, and for community use - and has been created to be more environmentally-friendly too, with a green living roof, rain water recycling and a biodiesel boiler using renewable energy. We anticipate that the restaurant will become the hub of Academy life, with stylish environment and quality menus. It will also be available for community use, including family dining.
