GLOBAL LINKS

AND ADVENTURES

NUSA considers international links and relations as vital in being a 21st century outward facing school. Through connections and interest in the establishment of NUSA, we have already made connections with schools in India and South Africa.

NUSA in Melilla, Spain

The school “Virgen de la Victoria” in Melilla (a Spanish city on the coast of Morocco) was visited by 19 NUSA students and 5 members of staff from 13th to 23rd March 2012. The trip was part of a two year project funded by the European Community which focuses on cultural diversity and Immigration. Students and staff were warmly welcomed by the Spanish students, their teachers and parents, and were given the opportunity to visit many places of interest, including historic buildings and religious centres. As well as improving their communication and linguistic skills, NUSA students learnt about the lives and customs of Melilla’s inhabitants and bonded strongly with their school pen-friends. In all aspects, it was a beautiful and highly beneficial trip! Link to blog : http://melilla-nusa.blogspot.co.uk
