The NUSA House system

REFLECTING OUR SPECIALISM OF HEALTH AND SCIENCE

Every pupil at NUSA is a member of one of the four Houses, the names of which form our NUSA acrostic:

During 2009 we asked for suggestions of names for the Houses - the final choice was put forward by a number of NUSA staff and sponsors, and also by the parents, staff and students at the predecessor school. The names reflect our specialism of Health and Science - prominent scientists who worked on huge medical advances.

Each House is represented by a different colour - red, orange, blue and yellow - and all pupils wear a badge in their House's colour as part of their uniform.  Direct members of a family will generally be placed in the same house together.

Each House has a team of staff members, some of whom are in charge of Vertical Mentoring groups - these are detailed on the individual House pages in this section.

In addition, 16 pupils are appointed as House Captains and Vice Captains.
