NUSA Debut at ESAA

Promising start and an athletic future (Whole School - 23/05/2014)

Following on from the success in the Samworth Athletics Cup last year NUSA have targeted a more sustained approach to track and field for 2013/14. The season kicked off with the potentially daunting prospect of the ESAA Track & Field Cup hosted by Toothill School. NUSA entered over fifty participants who were exposed for the first time to high calibre club, regional and sometimes nationally acclaimed athletes.

To their credit, NUSA girls and boys competed with great heart and vigour throughout the day. A special mention to Zaydn Conroy and Arvin Appiah form Year 8 who won their respective sprint events. Students can now look forward to future competitions which will include the prospect of defending the Samworth Cup in addition to the School Sport Nottingham Athletics Championship.
