The Nottingham University Samworth Academy has a board of 12 Governors, from varying backgrounds:
- Michael Rowen - (Chairman) and High Sherriff of Nottinghamshire
- Professor David James - (Vice Chairman) Professor of Feto-Maternal Medicine, University of Nottingham
- David Harris - (Principal) - Author and experienced Head Teacher
- Professor Diane Birch - Professor of Law and ex- Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University of Nottingham
- Dr Tim Brabants - Gold Medallist in the Bejing Olympics 2008 and Dr of Medicine
- Guillaume Jauzelon - Staff representatie / Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages
- David Smith
- David Stewart - Head Teacher of the Oak Field School
- Chris Thompson - Chief Financial Officer at the Universityof Nottingham
- David Tilly - Lawyer and Vice-Chairman of Nottingham Playhouse
- Caroline Whitty - Highly experienced Academy Manager for David Samworth
