MENTORING SYSTEM

VERTICAL GROUPS

At NUSA, all pupils are part of our Mentoring System.  Instead of being linked with 30 or so classmates from the same year group, we use a Vertical Mentoring System where mentor groups are made up of pupils from each year.

We currently have 32 mentoring groups throughout the Academy, each run by one or two Mentors (members of NUSA staff), with 8 groups being assigned to each of the four Houses.

If a pupil experiences problems or difficulties in any area, their first port of call should be their Mentor, who can then escalate any issues on their behalf.
