A Ride with Fizz

As part of the annual Easter holiday programme, NUSA teamed up with Coca Cola Enterprises (CCe) to set a challenge to the many students who enrolled on the programme. The challenge centred on the core business relationship held between Coca Cola and Alton Towers as NUSA students were tasked with designing a Coca Cola themed roller coaster.  Despite the exciting nature of the challenge students would have to work hard to impress these nationally acclaimed businesses.

Specific challenges can be seen below:

  • Create a scale model Coca Cola themed roller coaster
  • Design a billboard poster, which encouragers visitors to Alton Towers and positively promote the Coca Cola brand 
  • Create a 45 seconds radio advert to promote the new ride at Alton Towers
  • Design a number of web-pages, which could be incorporated within the Alton Towers website to promote the new roller coaster

Students took on the challenges with great enthusiasm and produced some wonderful work over the four days. CCe commented on the exceptional level of work and rewarded the students with tickets to Alton Towers, which the students gratefully received. The visit to Alton Towers concluded the programme and the students proved to be fantastic NUSA ambassadors on the day.
